1. In Basketball news, Sunday's 70-61 win over UVa should clinch an 11th straight NCAA Tourney appearance for Maryland.

2. Am too unfocused to sign up for any of the current ficathons. I lack story ideas. On the other hand, I will Beta for food.

3. Saw sneak preview of the upcoming David Mamet film, Spartan. It was actually the least insufferable Val Kilmer performance I've caught since Heat, but I didn't like it all that much. For a Mamet script, the dialogue seemed awfully clipped, and the story felt more than a bit unrealistic and forced. Ah well.

Democrat
Threat rating: High. The Bush administration is
concerned that it may not get a second term.
Therefore, we are going to change the rules so
that each Democrat vote only counts as 0.2
votes because Democrat is a shorter word than
Republican

What threat to the Bush administration are you?

Well, it won't be out for another week or so. If you're torn, I'd advise you to wait for the reviews. There are generally a set of reviewers in the Washington Post that - based upon their reviews - I'll know whether a given film will work for me or not.

What helps here, is that there wasn't a romantic plot or subplot, and Val Kilmer is loathesome given romantic storylines.
