Snowmaggedon 2010!

Well, I got power back on. Let the record state:
21" (and counting) in my driveway.
33" (and counting) against the door on my deck.

Back. Not feeling good after all that work.

WHy must these massive snowstorms keep happening on my weekends? It's nice to retain my vacation hours, I suppose, but aargh!!!

That is crazy! The amount of snow I've seen in pictures is ridiculous. Stay warm!! (And I'm glad the power is back!)

Warm isn't a problem. When I went to Michigan, I lived in a drafty house - even without power, I wasn't as cold this morning as I routinely was then.

I just got back from more shoveling. It's all about layers and good gloves. To with:

Under Armour Coldgear turtleneck and pants
sweatpants
t-shirt
long sleeve shirt
hooded sweatshirt
mask & cap
lined jogging pants
parka
gloves

I was out for a good hour and a half (this is my second shift today) and did almost all the clearing I'll need (saved some snow on the deck for emergency fridge if we lose power again) and I'm plenty warm. Actually, kind of sweaty-gross right now.

Hot bath ahoy!

I wondered how you were doing. Take it easy if you can.

Doing good, sore back aside. Just annoyed that I'm losing another big party weekend. The two years in Michigan have prepared me well. And it's really not that cold.

...Because it can?

Throws snowball at you.

YAY, SNOWBALL FIGHT!

Yikes. I'm glad we dodged that bullet. Boston was right above the top edge of the storm. I knew it was going to be bad, but I had no idea. Good luck with all of that.

Hey, that's where our snow went!!! Would you send a little back our way? We need a nice light dusting on the mountains to make it look pretty for the Olympics.
Seriously, take it easy with the snow shovelling, you could do yourself an injury.

Yup. It's on my deck. I think I'm pretty much done with shoveling, beyond a pass or two after the plows come through and put a wall back in my driveway.

As to injury, I suspect I'll find out about my back in the AM.
