Well, I got power back on. Let the record state:
21" (and counting) in my driveway.
33" (and counting) against the door on my deck.
Back. Not feeling good after all that work.
WHy must these massive snowstorms keep happening on my weekends? It's nice to retain my vacation hours, I suppose, but aargh!!!

I just got back from more shoveling. It's all about layers and good gloves. To with:
Under Armour Coldgear turtleneck and pants
sweatpants
t-shirt
long sleeve shirt
hooded sweatshirt
mask & cap
lined jogging pants
parka
gloves
I was out for a good hour and a half (this is my second shift today) and did almost all the clearing I'll need (saved some snow on the deck for emergency fridge if we lose power again) and I'm plenty warm. Actually, kind of sweaty-gross right now.
Hot bath ahoy!

Yikes. I'm glad we dodged that bullet. Boston was right above the top edge of the storm. I knew it was going to be bad, but I had no idea. Good luck with all of that.

Seriously, take it easy with the snow shovelling, you could do yourself an injury.

As to injury, I suspect I'll find out about my back in the AM.
