So, two notable things this week that dovetail into an actual post.

1. I'm Sick
2. Season Premier of Nip/Tuck

How is I sick. Illustration - since sunday night, I have restricted my intake to Orange Juice, Hot Tea, Soup, and Robitussin. I have the head cold chest cold all over congestion sinus pressure thing working. I have managed to drag myself to the office on Tues and Weds because I am a warrior and because my coworkers don't have the sense of self preservation to order me home before I infect them.

Illness, for me, leads to introspection. And also phlegm. And introspection about phlegm.

Like - wow - I'm shall we say - producing a lot of material. And it's not like it can be used for fertilizer or anything. Actually, in a way - I'm kind of offended. I resent the idea that my body can produce this much ooze and there is absolutely no constructive output for it.

I'm not saying I want to collect and measure the entire volume of my nasal discharge and donate it to Dow Chemical or anything. But on an intellectual level, I kind of feel like something positive should come from this ... other than an eventual semblance of clear sinuses.

Which actually reminds me of Nip/Tuck. Much like sinus inflammation, it's something that's been coming into my life every so often over the past few years. Lets me get all introspective about mortality and ways in which people are very ill. And ultimately concludes without anything much produced from it.

But seriously. The show is lovely crack. Much like my beloved 'tussin. It always makes feel happy and kind of gross at the same time.

LOL. The human body is amazing in its capacity to produce quantities of icky substances...take it from someone who has seen the truly gross, and survived to talk about it. I remember one time ...oh, you probably don't want details. LOL.
Oh, yeah, nursing is a glamourous job. ;P
ETA: Sorry, forgot to wish you a speedy return to glowing health!

Heh. Yes, but some of them - not that we use them for such purposes - at least provide nourishment back to valuable parts of the ecology like plants or vampires. No self-respecting demon is going to subsist on nasal discharge.

Guess that's why the SnotMonster is so far down on the demon social scale, lol.
