Yours truly has decided to get the hell out of DC during Inauguration weekend. (You know you're a DC Area Native when you flee History-in-the-Making just to avoid the traffic...)

Contemplating Craigslist. Is anyone dumb enough to rent my house without realizing that it won't be remotely convenient to the mall given what traffic will do to the region?

So, it being winter, what lush, Tropical locale have I selected? Why, I've made the bold choice to go to... Bloomington, Indiana... because one of my best friends is now ensconced on the faculty of IU and they have a home game.

Yeah Boyee! I guess I'll leave my Wolverines gear back at the ranch...

I can't even imagine the traffic. It's bad enough in Toronto when the Grey Cup is in town. I don't even want to think about the traffic around something like that. Also, I think your choice of tropical locale is an excellent one.

And I don't know much abotu college sports, but yeah. Leave the not-home-team gear at home. I'd hate to picture you on the wrong end of a sports riot.

I should note - I was being ironic in calling Bloomington Indiana "tropical" - as it will probably be plenty cold there. I'm going because that's where my friend is, and Washington DC can be potentially paralyzed by traffic.

And also, Michigan (one of the colleges I attended) is a natural rival of Indiana. I can wear my Maryland stuff as Indiana and Maryland never play each other in anything.

Okay, I'm not so bad at geography that I'd think Indiana's going to be remotely warm this time of year. I was simply going along with the joke - I promise. My irony isn't all it could be when I'm doing LJ replies, I guess.

My bad. Certain forms of expression get lost in the typed form... ;)
