The Lame Weekend

1) On thursday night, my cable went wonky. Among other things, losing all channels from 43-78. (Notably, History and Comedy Central)

2) Also thursday, my PC locked up. Diagosis - Hard Drive has bad sectors. The sectors that store my OS. Am getting a new HD and hoping I can salvage as much data as possible. Will have to re-install most everything. That'll be fun.

3) Watched Maryland escape with a 14-10 win over a winless, horrible Flordia International University team. You should not need a last second interception at the goal line to beat FIU. Our QB is inaccurate and indecisive. His throws are often off target. And he takes too long to throw, so that formerly open recievers wind up getting clobbered instead of having time to run. We may struggle to win 5 games in a horrible ACC this year.

4) Cable guy managed to fix the cable. In the process, he did one of those hilarious slapstick tumbles that wrecked my closet - causing the metal shelf to tumble. The shelf from which I hang my suits. On which I fold and place my jeans and sweaters. And he bent the shelf, and put holes in the wall.

AAARRRRGGGGHHHH!

Oh, and since I mocked the Nationals in my last post, you can come right back with a "nyah!" for the Giants' sterling performance in Seattle. (I was off the couch and helping my wife hang up paintings by the 3rd quarter.)
