Pimping the Tourney Bracket Challenge. Monmouth defeated Hampton in yesterday's play-in game. Means just one more day before the games open up...

Anyone interesting in signing up in my Tourney Bracket Challenge, there's one more day. Sign-ups due by noon. And I'll post my brackets then... In the meantime, I'll be mentally replaying that 2002 East Regional Final between Maryland and UConn, the best game ever for a Maryland fan to watch.

But what I want to know is, where's the brackets from [livejournal.com profile] marenfic, [livejournal.com profile] cjlasky, [livejournal.com profile] sistakaren, and [livejournal.com profile] thelastgoodname?

Also, check out the expert's picks from the Tony Kornheiser Radio Show - including Wilbon, David Aldridge, Jim O'Connell, and a bunch of other writers and coaches...

so I signed up (evans1 since hell I forgot to rename myself). Just so you know I'm clueless and I'm likely to forget to check how I did.

That's okay. I'll post updates after each of the rounds...

that'll work. Granted I could have probably picked better by pulling names out of a hat mind you. But what the heck

I feel supremely unqualified to make these choices, as I have yet to watch a game this season, and also, there's no way Cal is getting past Texas in the second round, presuming they both get to the second round, so I feel as if I am betraying my team by not picking them. Alas, the trauma of being a semi-rational sports fan.

I see no trauma in terms of picking for or against your team. I did pick Maryland to win the title in 2002, the year they did. But I also picked them to lose in the first round the year later. (They won on a super-dramatic last second shot and lost in the round of 16)

What's more amazing to me, is that you haven't watched a game. Boggles. but I guess you are a Football fan and not much of a Basketball fan. Whereas, growing up in DC the rankings are Redskins Football, College Basketball, and then everything else ...

It's because I don't have a TV (and yes, also because I'm not a basketball fan. But still).

This has nothing to do with your post and everything to do with an icon you might find amusing...check out adeliedreams in LJ. Most recent post, I believe. For...a The Tick reference.
