1. This year, I ended up going as a Telecommuter. Sweats, Bathrobe, College Shirt, Telephone & Headset. Next year, I will go with something easier, and which does not leave me feeling shameful for wearing sweats outside my house. Yes. I think I will go as Mr. Rogers.

All I need is a tie, a cardigan, and some shoes. Actually, I guess I need a second set, so I can come into your living room, change my shoes and sweater, and then sing "Won't you be my neighbor". That would be both fun, and low effort - a perfect combination for me.

2. Poor Daunte Culpepper. Torn ACL, MCL, and PCL. He's out the remainder of this season, and I wouldn't be surprised if he missed all of next year too. Culpepper is one of those QBs runs like a fullback. I suspect this will drastically change - I expect to see him gradually go the way Steve McNair has, running less and less. Although, even without a knee, he may still be more mobile than Byron Leftwich. Good thing he's got a cannon arm.

3. Considering how awful the Nike designed Florida and Virginia Tech uniforms were, and how hideous Oregon's uniforms have tradionally been, I really dread seeing what Nike's going to be unleashing for them next.

How much uglier than this are they going to get?

4. NBA season begins tonight. Yawn. NBA doesn't get compelling until May. More importantly, just two more weeks before college basketball starts. This year, the men start off ranked #21. The women's team is preseason #7. Shay Doron and Crystal Langhorne are the best combo on the team since Jessie Hicks and Lenore Mizrachi back when I was in HS and the Lady Terps were ranked #1.

5. I need some new sunglasses. Was nearly blinded driving in this morning. A sad effect of daylight savings - it's weird driving in after sunrise, and clearly, I'm not yet adjusted to it.

No. Actually, it's funny, Leftwich will see the rush coming and start to run, and he'll move, and he's got these long legs and he's taking big steps but he's just... awkward and slow. To be honest, the thing that gets me most about him is that he has this really long wind-up for his throws. Every time he drops that ball down like a baseball pitcher, I'm convinced that he's going to have it stripped.

It's sort of like Little Mac powering up to throw a Super Punch in Mike Tyson's Punch-Out. Except Leftwich is a big black dude, as opposed to a little white guy. But the principle is similar...
