Well, if there is a theme, as you said below, and Buffy is your favorite Buffy character, I'm going to guess the them is strong women and thus guess American Maid.

Either that, or Sewer Urchin, simply because he was your first guess for my favorite Tick character.

Buffy Summers is a favorite, but she's not one of the characters that fits the theme. (None of the "core four" really fit my theme...)
