A final update of the NCAA Tourney Pool... Those who go to the ESPN LJ Bracket Challenge will note that our winner is, once again, [livejournal.com profile] sistakaren, triumphing on the strength of her Tar Heels emerging victorious over Illinois. For the second year in a row, I lose after nominally leading going into the championship game.

The "Chalk Entry" - a bracket consisting of the higher seeded favorite as determined by the NCAA Selection Committee, finished 4th.

And because I have one more prediction, I'll take the Lady Bears of Baylor University over Michigan State in tonight's NCAA Women's Basketball Championship. By a score of 65-62.

From last place to second... ahh, the power of the championship.

I got second in my work pool too. The winner had 3 final four teams and I only had two. Bummer.

Heh. I feel like something similar happened to me last year when I picked UConn to win. All of a sudden I was #1, and I didn't understand why! (heh). But this year I really wanted to win.

You have the magic touch :)

I can't complain too much, because Go Heels! Are you in Chapel Hill? My husband said that all the Carolina people at the game were very excited to have been there but wished they could have immediately flown back to join the Franklin Street celebration. I, who was neither at the game nor in Chapel Hill, told him to shut up :)

No, I'm not in Chapel Hill anymore :(. My friends kept tempting me to fly down, and I would have if it wasn't like $300+ dollars. Sigh. Being there would have been awesome.

Your husband was at the game? I'm JEALOUS! Wow. That's so awesome.
