Because it's that kind of month, yesterday morning the dog died in his sleep. So I went back to the parents for this funeral. We got Casey when I was in 6th grade, he was really dragging these last few months, and nearly 17 years is more than anyone could have asked. But it still sucks. At least he held on long enough not to go when we were at Aunt Rosie's, as I was sincerely worried might happen.
I feel awful for my parents.

I'm sorry for your loss. I've never had a pet, but I know that many others view them as members of the family.

Oh. I am so sorry. I don't know what else has been happening but it sounds like you've had a yucky month.
