Despicable Campus Parking
My love affair with the University of Maryland Department of Campus Parking continues unabated.
Got my season tickets today. Apparently, the Athletic Department now has fewer parking allotments for the upcoming football season due to, shock of all shocks, yet more on-campus construction. Anyway, apparently I'm not a big enough of a booster and was reassigned from Lot 1 to the Mowatt Parking garage "for my convenience".
My ass.
No more open-air parking means no more pre-game grilling. Seriously - Tailgates are a big-part of the pre-game, college football experience. I suppose it's not necessarily dire. We can always trek way across campus and latch onto some of the other folks we know who still have Lot 1 passess. With the coolers and the Grill. Or, I suppose we could stick to cold cuts. Feh...
Sure, it's only five to six weekends a year, but it makes me cranky.
