The Front Page of Today's Washington Post featured an article on the newest proposal for a Baseball Stadium to lure the Expos into Washington, DC - something which would please me quite a bit.

I'm not going to get worked up, since Lucy is more likely to let Charlie Brown finally kick that ball than MLB is to move a team here. Nevertheless, I was quite amused. The Newest location is along the Anacostia waterfront, at the corner of South Capitol and M Streets. I'm particularly amused, as this location is about two blocks from my office. Talk about ways to make the work environment way more fun...

It's just key that we don't have more mornings like monday, or I'll kill myself before it ever gets built.

For a twenty-mile, urban commute, mine's pretty great. After a few miles on the Beltway, I cut onto the Clara Barton parkway. It's a really scenic, two-lane highway. Almost no lights, lined with trees, with the C&O canal, canal tow path, and Potomac river on the right. Then I get to Georgetown and the Whitehurst Freeway, with a great view of the city, down around the Kennedy Center and the monuments around the Mall.

And then across Maine Avenue to the SE-SW Freeway. Which is usually okay. Except on monday morning, when the sun comes up over the Anacostia heights and shines on my face with blinding intensity. I had my shades down, sunglasses on, and an arm shading my face -- and I still couldn't see anything. A few more mornings like that, and I will have an accident, no matter how cautious I try to drive.

And also - if they could just stop sending me "Refinance Your Mortgage" Spam, that would be great.

*Note: Tony Kornheieser is my boy. I've been reading his columns in the Post for twenty years. I followed his radio show. I watch him on ESPN. I bought my sister "Pumping Irony" one year for Hannukah. I've even talked to him a few times on the phone. It's nice that he got a sitcom made from his Style Columns. But that sitcom, "Listen Up!" is painfully unfunny. So for those of you who are curious about that show -- give up. Just watch Kornheieser and Wilbon on ESPN's "Pardon the Interruption." Unlike the sitcom, it's actually funny.

And yo. America needs more of those "Leon" commercials.

I had heard about the TK based show but somehow I didn't connect it with the new Alexander vehicle. yeah, that just sounds dreadful.
