1. Despite my thoughts about quitting the Guns & Bombs and going into teaching, have decided to take a new job doing Public and Legislative Affairs over in the Navy Yard. Mixed thoughts on the location and the hours, but I like the Admiral I'll be working with and I like the opportunity, so I kind of have to take it. Teaching will always be there, and I do want to re-up my professional ties if I ever decide to go back to The Hill
2. My mailbox is not working. This is problematic as I'm guessing some critical mail is locked in there, like that $980 check those bitches at ABC finally got around to sending me for last month. And some critical tax and job related paperwork.
3. Got to go downtown and meet with some of the alums while watching tournament games. Love March. Love not having to work on next Thursday or Friday. Maybe I'll do a March Madness meme.
4. If they made a sitcom featuring Deion Sanders and Bob Newhart, I would watch it.

Congrats on the job. Teaching will always be there waiting for you. (And I hope you take it up, eventually.)

Nope. I'm a civillian defense contractor. Which is something of the family business so to speak. I still probably will look to teach someday though.

Also, re: #4, please outline sitcom and give title. You are challenged!

Forth and Long
Ceclia Forth (Casting Call) secretly wishes to have the athletic programs at the St. Peter's Preperatory to be canceled so that more of the budget can be directed towards high fashion and the performing arts. So she influences her henpecked husband, Dean Forth (Bob Newhart) to hire a high profile, scandalous former alumus and athlete, Deion Long (Deion Sanders) to coach the football team. Her hope is that that alumni will get so up in arms over Deion's outrageous behavior so as to demand the cancellation of the program altogether.
But he's got a couple of tricks up his sleeve. And the Dean's a little sharper than he looks. Can Long's unorthodox stylings lead a rag-tag bunch of misfits to the City Title? Will St. Peter's go Forth and Prosper. Stay tuned to CBS this fall.
