Harold Ford Jr. on Colbert

Harold Ford Jr. is a reasonably handsome man, but Colbert is making him look very bad. Or, more accurately, Harold Ford is making himself look very bad and Colbert is just feeding him his own quotes on which to hang himself.

Yeah, perhaps the gotcha journalism is sometimes a bad thing, but when people make a habit of saying contradictory things to different audiences, it's nice to see them pushed to answer for it. In person.

I was surprised Ford was on given his Alpha dog status last week. Thing about Colbert is even when he nails them, the guests still seem like they're having a good time.

Yeah. In this day and age, you'd think people would have awareness of what they'd previously said and be prepared to explain it in a coherent way without looking like an outright ninny. But then, it's kind of what I do for my customer, so I'm surprised he doesn't have someone to prep him like that.
