From many on my Flist:

Post about something that made you happy today even if it's just a small thing and even if it's just a one-line post.

Here's something awesome - the special uniforms worn at yesterday's Army-Navy game.

I recognize they're a bit busy. I'd like Army's better if they took off the slogans/mottos, and Navy's better if the Unit insignia were much smaller and the shoulder-boards reduced. But, that said, I still like the concepts.

The traditional Army & Navy unis are classic, yet dull. No one should wear cammo - it gives you too many jokes - but Army can pull it off - at least in this one game.

As for Navy, I love seeing the unit insignias, the anchor and the Marine's logo - but the real revelations are the pants - which mimic the Dress Marine pants blood stripes.

That's great. And you know what - innovative Uni fashion makes me happy.

I liked Navy's uniforms including the shoulder-boards. Army's looked like they'd been designed by a general. The sentiment was in the right place, but it didn't work, just like army's offense.

Heh. But, like Army's Offense - with some refinement it might yet work in a year or two. Seriously - I love the Camo pants/helm. Beats the hell out of the Mizzou gold jersey...

The only thing worse than Mizzou in gold jerseys is Mizzou in all gold. They did that back in the 1980's for a surprise. They got beat that game, too! ;o) (Back in the 1930's and 40's they always wore all gold at home, but by 1950 it was a different era and since then they should have left the past buried.)
