For some reason, I'm watching the McDonald's All-American game. Maybe it's for Brandon Jennings rockin' the "Kid" from Kid'n'Play High-Top. (Maybe he and Demar DeRozen can do the KickStep at halftime) It's not like any of the players are going to Maryland.

Correction. None of the men are going to Maryland. We're getting some women. And while the men stunk this year, the #1 Seeded Ladies knocked off Nebraska (sorry [livejournal.com profile] ann1962) to advance to the Sweet 16. Whee. Too bad their game started at 2200 last night. That's just past the time when I can go out to watch.

In the mean time, I'll go ahead and try to get ready for the start of Baseball season. It still seems early, but hey, new stadium across the street.

It's ok ;-) I get more sports news from you than anybody. I didn't even know they were playing still.

I wasn't even sure what sport Dave was talking about until I looked again at his subject line!

Though you can be excused, as this is American College (and HS) basketball I'm talking about.

I watched the first half last night. That was about all I could stay awake for!!!

Maybe it's for Brandon Jennings rockin' the "Kid" from Kid'n'Play High-Top.

LOOOOOOVED that! Took me back to the good 'ol days!

Tyler Zeller was the kid I was talking about the other day. Boy needs to put on some serious pounds over the summer! He looked a little out of sorts last night I thought but then again, who wouldn't with all those guards flying around like they were on speed or something! Wow! There was some talent out on that floor last night!

Anyway, Zeller's older brother Luke plays at Notre Dame and he has a younger brother that was just a Freshman this year and although he's not as tall (yet) as the two older ones, he's rumored to be the best out of the three! I didn't get to watch Tyler play during the season because Washington isn't on our high school's schedule (thank goodness, they would have massacred us!) but he looked really good in the State Finals on Saturday night when I watched it.

Not that you really care about any of the above, but it's my basketball two cents for the day!

BTW, I was thinking about IU, and if you do come to visit your friend, you seriously need to try to come during basketball season and go to a game at Assembly Hall. I've not been for years but it always was a super cool atmosphere!!!

I'd like to go to a game, but it'll depend upon his schedule. It'd probably be during November, so maybe I could catch an exhibition. I assume it's a hard ticket.

It's never too early to get ready for baseball season. Maybe it's because baseball to me means summer, but I'm gearing up for the new season as soon as pitchers and catchers report.
