I know a lot of people feel like the government taxes too much and spends too much.

But you'll be pleased to know, the bureaucracy is finding ways to save. For example, by not picking up our trash regularly or performing maintenance on bathroom facilities. Rest assured, services will in no way be disrupted.

Oh yeah. Our big trash cans are in the kitchen areas. You can imagine how lovely those are when there are hundreds of employees in the building, but they only clear them out once per week.

Yikes.

It would be funny if it weren't so disappointing. :(

I'm sure they'll build something dumb or hire someone dumb to train you on something dumb with teh money saved. Rest assured.

Hang in there.

There's something fun like that in London Ontario. They pick up trash on Monday week one, Tuesday week two, Wednesday week three until they hit Friday. Then you go until the Monday of the week after next to get the trash picked up. So half the time you can't recall when your garbage gets picked up, and you get to go more than a week without having it picked up. And they've placed limits on how much the garbage people can collect, so if you put out more than your house limit, they just won't pick it up at all.
