I've got to say this... is there any TV lawyer more pitiable than Hamilton Burger?
Not even the short nervous prosecutor guy from The Practice or any of the other myriad insane David E. Kelley characters...

You're Hamilton Burger... You're the District Attorney for Los Angeles. A very important position. And yet, you have almost never won a case. If not for internet databases like Wikipedia, people would think you've lost every case you've ever tried... you just can't beat Perry Mason. You're like Charlie Brown, with Perry's Lucy yanking the ball away from you in the very last second...
And you don't even get to be angry, because Perry's always right. And justice gets done. You would probably get that justice done quicker if you were ever able to figure out who the real killer was before Perry Mason pantsed every one of your lovingly crafted cases in court...
You must be the worst district attorney in history... and everybody knows it... It's a good think you have those pictures of the Mayor having sex with goats.
