Yes - I went shopping today. Black Friday y'all. So what was the haul? Four pairs of swanky italian dress slacks for work. A 20 Gig MP3 player/Hard Drive. And a USB 2.0 card for my PC, because it's an old chassis I'm running off... Big scores.

I think I'm gonna go listen to some Abbot & Costello and get some sleep. If Maryland beats NC State, they're going to the Emerald Bowl in San Francisco. (Assuming UNC loses to VaTech.) It'll probably be a crappy bowl, but I might go out for it anyway.

Are you sure it won't be in Oakland? They do that sort of stuff over there, I've heard.

I suppose if it it's in the City it will have to be in SBC Park. That's the only place there's sufficient parking for those kind of throngs. Which means everyone parking in my work place back yard. And using my work place street car.

We had a Rolling Stones concert there recently...nuts, dude, nuts.

I thought it was for Emerald Nuts? (Nothing is non-corporate in the collegiate sports world anymore. Did you hear about the basketball player at Arkansas whose coach refuses to play him because the kid doesn't want to wear whatever shoe the school is contracted with?)

Nope - the name is for Seattle, the Emerald City, because that's where the bowl was inaugurated. They ahven't changed it yet, despite moving to SF.
