The St. Louis Job offer was apparently a management snafu. Executive VP, who likes me very much, decided to randomly offer me the posting without actually talking to the two program managers I report to. (For my Navy project, and for a Marine Core project I've recently been added onto.) Apparently, the Marine Corp folks were previously unhappy with performance, but have been much happier since the personnel reshuffling that got me (as well as more significant folks) onboard. Current discussions seem to indicate that neither of my PMs want to lose me for six weeks while I'd been on a Coast Guard project I know nothing about. Trip appears aborted.

And with that, we segue into tomorrow's games:

Eastern Michigan University at University of Michigan

I expect Michigan to win in a rout.

West Virginia University at University of Maryland

I expect Maryland to win in a route. I will be, as always, in attendance. Wearing my Joe Krivak - era, surplus Jersey #38. Which [livejournal.com profile] karabair, may or may not fondly remember. Go Terps!

Well I'm glad I didn't see the St. Louis thing until it was called off, because otherwise I'd be disappointed (as St. Louis is where I am now).

Oh, that's right. Bummer. I totally would have been chasing after your husband for the hookup on tickets, because I remember you saying he worked for an athletic department at one of the universities.

Bad luck about the job.
