Presumably, Slayers must have some degree of pain tolerance that goes far beyond what the average person would. And obviously, some degree of injury resistance as well. We see Faith pop a seperated shoulder back into place, and barely wince - although pain tolerance was a probably a point of pride for her and we should read too much into that...
The show doesn't really directly touch on it, but considering the number of hours of fighting characters put in, we rarely see recurring injuries. The obvious example being Giles, who has suffered more concussions than Steve Young and Troy Aikman combined, yet exhibits none of the long-term signs.
So it's mostly there for speculation, and this week such spec interests me...
