Certainly not. My argument here has very little to do with Gender. Mine is more the argument that says "The 20th Amendment is great for women and all, but what about all those women who aren't white and still don't get to vote - you aren't remotely done with the work"... It's the argument that notes that the Russian Revolution was very good for the Inteligentsia and Party but screwed over most everyone else in the country, despie the fact that it was in the name of the Proletariat.
I've no problem with more women and slayers being empowered. That's great. I have a bigger problem calling it empowerment because of who's not in the room - who's never at the table - when the empowerment goes down. "Chosen" purports to be about empowering women - when it isn't. It's about empowering a narrow class of elite inteligentsia within a small bureacracy - elites who are moostly female - with minimal thought for the women or men outside the circle.
