One of the prime virtues of still living near where I grew up, is that I still get to see friends from my wayward youth who come back to the area to visit family over the holidays. The highlight is probably getting to see Hot Neighbor Jeannie. (The picture on the Website does not do her justice...)
The Brits on my FList may actually have some familiarity with her, as Jeannie was on the British reality show, Mr. Right. It's really funny to be able to go check out your neighbors on TV... especially in the case of Jeannie. When I'd had my big run of mini-local celebrity, Jeannie would show up for a bunch of the various interviews and photoevents I had to do, and pop op on the various morning shows to talk about me. So when she did the show in England, I would go and read the various boards. It was sort of funny for me, because the English posters hated her. A lot of people would write about how she had this very fake "Girl Next Door" thing going.
But of course, Jeannie actually was the Girl Next Door. We've know each other since toddler-hood. Her dad was my little league umpire (and is my accountant) and her brother was the DM. She babysat my little sister. We worked at the same pizza place. I'll probably get a chance to hang out with her and her family again when I go back to home for the traditional Christmas Chinese. She can tell us more wacky stories about living in London and such... and maybe this time I'll actually get to see the tapes.

I think they are still together and possibly even have a child. But I may be wrong.

The funny part was when I did a photoshoot for People Magazine, and they sent all these stylists over. (And pretty much every female friend or relative I had in the area came over for that...) As they're all poring through trying to figure out what would make me look good on camera, the photographer just pointed at Jeannie. Cause she's all purty like that.
