I don't know what would possess anybody to make a sitcome about him, much less watch it.
Having listened to the radio show, and seen PTI I could see why someone might try -- the problem being that it's hard to picture a fake Tony that's as funny as the real one.
I can hardly remember "Dave's World". But this show is terrible. It's impossible to imagine Jason Alexander as (a) a father and (b) a sportswriter. And whereas Tony and Mike have great vibes working together, the scenes with Alexander and Malcom Jamal Warner are really limp.
They'd be better off just doing a Tony & Mike show -- namely, running PTI.
