Barry Bonds hit homers #649 and 650 tonight. He'll catch Mays at the end of the year, and has a realistic shot of passing Babe Ruth at 714 in a season or two.
I'm rooting for him. Bonds, at 39, is having the third best season of his career, and his production is the result of impressive work habits, discipline, and knowledge of the game. By most accounts, he's an arrogant jerk. But I'm not rooting for Barry because I like him - I don't care about him personally. I'm rooting for the guy, because I like the way he plays.
Except for the part where he poses at the plate after killing a pitch. That's such an asshole thing to do ... which I probably would have done myself if I were in his shoes.
Ahh. Screw it. I hate August. I really don't have much to talk about.

Am I supposed to ooh and aah here? I'm guessing this is some kind of record. I don't get baseball. But hey, if it makes you happy, I could probably improvise something.
How about "Wow! That's amazing!" Would that work?

Basically, it's mid-August and I don't really have anything to talk about right now. I don't even know why I posted that.

Well, let me give you an idea or two.
(1) Read the revised The Sounds of Silence. I made some changes based on your suggestions.
(2) I was watching "Beauty and the Beasts" tonight where Buffy finds an insane Angel running around in the wild. Remember the part where she falls asleep in the library while doing research on Acathla and the effects of being in a hell dimension. Well, Giles response is: It would take someone of extraordinary... will and character to survive that and, uh, retain any semblance of self.
So my question to you is, if Angel survived all those years in Hell, why did he fall apart during AtS:S2 when Darla was in and out of his life? Shouldn't his character have been better equiped to handle W&H antics? I realize that there will be inconsistencies in character due to the whims of writers, but this question is really bothering me.
