Things-a-goin' on... Been awhile since I posted. A very kind person has rather generously gifted me with paid LJ time, so now I'm going to have to start thinking about the features and coming up with something special for kidz. Aside from more iconses... Thanks to all those who wished me a Happy B-Day yesterday, on what was my 29th.
The cool part about New Years, is when the friends come back into town. I got to hang with Jesse, Sherm and the old CP crew. Good times were had. There was movies and beer, poker and football, and the hurling of insults. I really need to work on my language filters, though. We had the annual New Year's Eve party at Rich & Carrie's, and there were many small children about. Which was okay, while I watched Jeopardy!. (My buddy Mike lost in Final Jeopardy! in the fine Maryland tradition.) But then the show ended, we got back to socializing. I still swear way too much, and too loudly.
But the kiddies were put to bed at 9:30, and the card tables came out, at which point the cursing is par for the course. Between the Peach Bowl and the Poker, most of us missed the ball drop. Again. Some things, I guess, are less interesting.
In other news, I played football all day Saturday without hint of injury despite my crummy conditioning, and then promptly tripped going up the stairs at home, jamming my left wrist. I reek of Ben-Gay.
