I'll probably do a full update tomorrow, when I have to doggie-sit at the parents' house tomorrow. In the meantime, I'll just take an extra moment to wax about the virtues of AtS 3.15 "Loyalty", rebroadcast today on TNT.

  1. Lots of nice parallels using each of the characters and their relationships, including the ones not onscreen.

  2. Talking Hamburger. Wesley's face as he performs the ritual to summon the Loa.
The angry burger face with it's "your order please" nose.

  3. The fascinating conversation between Holtz and Wesley. Use of the "it's different: he has a soul now" within a context that doesn't make me want to wring everybody's neck.

  4. All after an irritating stretch of episodes, AtS finding it's footing by going back to noir-ish roots.

While I'm at it, my lonely drabbles for this week's [livejournal.com profile] open_on_sunday challenge - themed around the "unconventional".

Note: I'd wanted to write an early S4 Tara/Scott Hope scene, themed around both characters coming out, but I have no skill for that. Tossing it out for someone else to pick up, since I think there's more than a little possibility in there...

Without further ado, my drabble: Savings... )
