This was a very bloody weekend. Almost everybody I'm friends with in RL, just watched their Alma Mater or favorite team go down in dramatic and painful fashion.

Suprisingly, there are still a good number of people left whose brackets aren't utterly destroyed. I am not one of them. Poor Kentucky. Poor Haggai.

I've added [livejournal.com profile] yseultdb to the chart off the ESPN group page. I sent her an invitation to my friend Jesse's Stanford Pool instead of the LJ pool. Regardless, I'm ranking her entry along with my entry into that pool. (Which my little sister is currently winning - but not for much longer.)

Sorry, belated comment to post. I did actually read this on Monday; I was just still too stunned to comment.

I don't recall seeing any blood anywhere near the basketball court, but it was not for lack of glaring at the TV. Stanford gone, Kentucky gone. Please please please tell that Duke is NOT going to win.

That would be the metaphorical blood left behind as favorite after favorite was cut down. Haggai, my former roommate and a current lecturer in the Math department at UMich is a hardcore Kentucky fan and he was notably distressed.

I definitely don't want to see Duke win either. I follow Kornheieser and Wilbon in the Washington Post and every talking head they could get picked UConn before the tournament. It seems like this is going to be UConn's tourney to win or lose now.

Ooh. Ooh. Games are gonna be on in about an hour.
