Actually, it's just a parody. Several years back, the University of Maryland signed an apparel deal with a company founded by a recent graduate - and the coach and several football players appeared in a string of national commercials where the tag line was "We must protect this house!"
This was rapidly parodied by fans of West Virginia University (our main non-conference rival) who are somewhat notorious for setting couches on fire in celebration of victories. A point of pride for them, a never ending source of mockery for us.
Thus, the West Virginia fans grabbing "wemustignitethiscouch.com (http://www.wemustignitethiscouch.com)" for their fanboard.
